This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, where it goes, and how to get it back or have it deleted. We have written it to be accurate rather than reassuring. Where information is held outside Australia, we say so.
1. Who we are
Human Business Mentor is a business name operated by OC Corporate Holdings Pty Ltd, ABN 19 696 799 694, based in Perth, Western Australia. You can contact us at hello@humanbusinessmentor.au about anything in this policy.
2. What we collect
When you book a call or session
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your business name, if you give one
- Your industry, if you give one
- What you write in the "what's going on" field — in your own words, whatever you choose to tell us
- The date, time and type of session you booked
When you pay for a session
Payment details are collected and processed by our payment provider. We do not see, handle or store your full card number. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and which booking it relates to.
When you email us
Whatever you send us, and our reply, sits in our email system.
During and after a session
We may take notes to support the mentoring process, as described in our Confidentiality Acknowledgement.
We do not run analytics on this website, and we set no cookies of our own. The booking calendar embedded on our booking page is provided by a third party and may set its own cookies — see section 4.
3. Why we collect it
- To assess fit — to work out, before you spend money, whether what you need is something we can genuinely help with.
- To deliver the service you booked — to prepare for the session, hold it at the right time, and follow up.
- To process payment for paid sessions.
- To meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.
We do not use what you tell us for any other purpose without asking you first.
4. Where your information is processed and stored
We are a small Perth business and we use third-party services to run booking, payments and email. Not all of these services store your information in Australia. The detail below reflects what each provider states in its own documentation, checked on 17 August 2026.
TidyCal — booking and scheduling
Bookings are taken through TidyCal, operated by Sumo Group Inc., a company incorporated in Delaware, United States. TidyCal's own privacy policy does not name the country or data centre where booking data is stored. What it does state is that the company is based in the United States and that personal data may be transferred to and processed in other countries. We are not able to tell you more specifically than that, because TidyCal does not publish it.
Stripe — payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. For businesses in Australia the contracting entity is Stripe Payments Australia Pty Ltd, but Stripe's own agreement states that it provides some or all of the service from systems located in the United States or other countries outside Australia. Stripe's agreement requires us to tell you this, and we are telling you: your payment data may be transferred, processed and stored outside Australia.
Microsoft 365 — email
Our email address, hello@humanbusinessmentor.au, is hosted on Microsoft 365, provided by Microsoft, a United States company. Mailbox data is stored in Microsoft's Australian data centres, in Sydney and Melbourne. We have confirmed this in the Microsoft 365 admin centre, where Exchange Online reports Australia as its data location.
Two things are worth saying plainly. Microsoft states that an individual request may at times be handled by servers outside the region where data is stored, without the stored data itself moving. And Microsoft is a United States company, so it may be subject to United States legal process regardless of where the data sits.
What this means for you
Once information is held overseas, Australian privacy law cannot be enforced against those providers in the same way it can against us. We have chosen these providers because they are reliable and appropriate for a business this size, not because they keep data onshore. If international processing of your information is a concern, contact us before booking and we can explain the options available.
While we take reasonable steps to protect information we hold, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
5. What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Not to anyone, for any price.
- We do not share your information with third parties beyond the providers named above, except where the law requires it or where the Confidentiality Acknowledgement permits it.
- We do not add you to a mailing list because you booked a session. If we ever send anything like that, you will have opted in separately and can opt out at any time.
- We do not use what you tell us in a session as an example, case study or marketing material.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, and for any period the law requires us to keep business records. When we no longer need it, we delete it. If you want it gone sooner, ask — see the next section.
7. Access, correction and deletion
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- give you a copy of it;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date; or
- delete it.
Email hello@humanbusinessmentor.au. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge you for making the request. If we cannot do what you have asked — for example, where we must keep a record for legal reasons — we will tell you why.
8. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information
Tell us first, at hello@humanbusinessmentor.au, and we will try to sort it out directly. If you are still not satisfied, you can make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, including when a provider changes where or how it stores data. The current version is always the one on this page, with the effective date shown at the top.
10. Your rights under Australian law
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any right you have under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Consumer Law, or any other law that cannot be excluded.
If you would rather ask about any of this before you book, email hello@humanbusinessmentor.au or raise it at the start of your Start Here Call.
